Google Slides Alternatives for AI Deck Building
Looking for a Google Slides alternative with voice input? Talkpitch generates slides from your speech in real-time — no Workspace subscription needed.
Why People Look for a Google Slides Alternative
You Still Have to Build Every Slide Manually
Google Slides with Gemini generates content from a text prompt, but after the initial generation you're back to editing text boxes, adjusting layouts, and making formatting decisions. The Gemini step reduces writing but doesn't eliminate the editing work.
Voice Input Doesn't Exist
Neither Google Slides nor Gemini for Slides has voice input. The full AI workflow is: type a prompt, review output, edit. There is no path in Google Slides that goes: speak your pitch, slides appear as you talk.
Gemini AI Features Require a Workspace Subscription
Gemini AI in Google Slides is not available on the free consumer tier. You need Google Workspace starting at $6/user/month — an additional subscription cost just to access AI slide generation.
Collaboration Strength, Solo Weakness
Google Slides' main strength is real-time co-editing. If you're a solo founder building a pitch deck alone, you're paying for a collaboration feature you're not using.
No Practice Mode
Google Slides has Presenter View, but it's a playback tool, not a practice environment. There's no feedback on delivery, slide timing, or whether transitions feel natural when you're actually speaking.
What Talkpitch Does Differently
Speak First, See It Live
Talkpitch inverts the Google Slides workflow. You speak your pitch and slides appear as each segment of speech is processed — no typing, no editor, no template selection.
Semantic Layout Selection
The AI determines what kind of content you're delivering — a problem statement, a metric, a team introduction — and picks the right layout automatically.
Build and Rehearse Simultaneously
Because slides generate as you speak, every session is a rehearsal. You identify where the flow breaks down while you're still in the session.
No Google Account or Workspace Required
Talkpitch is a standalone SaaS. No Google account, no Workspace subscription — just sign up and start speaking.
AI Features on the Free Tier
50 credits/month with full AI slide generation — no paid subscription required to access the core feature.

Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? We have answers.
Not currently. Talkpitch sessions are stored in your Talkpitch account, not synced to Google Drive. If you need Drive integration for file management or team access, Google Slides is better suited for that workflow.
Not yet. Export to Google Slides and PowerPoint is on the roadmap but isn't available today. If you need to share or hand off a deck in an editable format, you'd need to rebuild it in Google Slides after using Talkpitch to develop and practice the content.
If your current workflow works well, Talkpitch may not add much. The case for adding it is if you want to practice your pitch while building it, or if the typing-first workflow is a bottleneck. Talkpitch complements Workspace rather than replacing it.
Google's voice typing transcribes speech to text inside a text box — you'd still need to manually create slides, pick layouts, and format everything. Talkpitch processes your speech semantically and generates complete slide objects with layout selected and content placed automatically.
No. Talkpitch is a standalone SaaS product with its own account system. You sign up at talkpitch.com — no Google account required. This also means you don't need a Google Workspace subscription to access AI features.
