Real-Time AI Slide Generation: How It Works
See how Talkpitch generates slides in real-time as you speak -- live feedback as your deck builds, no waiting for batch output.
Why Real-Time Generation Changes the Experience
Slides appear as you speak
After each natural pause, a slide appears within 1,500ms. You see the deck build on screen while you're still in the session.
Course-correct mid-session
See after three slides whether the AI is capturing your content accurately. Adjust before you're 20 slides in -- not after a full batch.
Delivery feedback in real-time
Clear speech produces specific slides. Vague speech produces vague slides. The output reflects the clarity of your delivery immediately.
Practice built into every session
Real-time generation means every recording is also a rehearsal. The feedback loop between speaking and seeing is what makes practice effective.
Smart layout selection on every segment
The AI classifies each speech segment and picks the right layout from 9 types. You never wait and never choose.
Free to try
Real-time generation is fully available on the free tier. 50 credits per month, no card required.
The Real-Time Generation Pipeline
Step 01
Speech recognition via Deepgram
Talkpitch streams audio to Deepgram for live transcription. Low-latency, enterprise-grade accuracy handles natural speech at conversational pace.
Step 02
Segment detection
The system detects natural speech pauses -- half a second or more. Each pause signals the end of one segment, roughly one slide's worth of content.
Step 03
LLM extraction and layout selection
Each segment is passed to a custom LLM layer that extracts the main point, numbers, named entities, and selects the best layout from 9 types.
Step 04
Slide rendering
The extracted data renders into a styled slide. Full pipeline from end of speech pause to visible slide: under 1,500 milliseconds.
What's Included
Sub-1500ms latency
From the end of your speech pause to a visible slide: under 1.5 seconds under normal network conditions.
Nine AI-selected layouts
Tagline, bullets, metrics, steps, timeline, competitors, quote, team, and image -- matched automatically to your content type.
Metrics capture from speech
Say a specific number and a metrics card appears with that number prominently displayed. No manual entry.
Continuous generation
The pipeline runs as long as you speak. Each pause triggers a new slide. A 10-minute session generates a complete deck.
Live deck preview
Slides stack on screen as they generate. Glance at previous slides while continuing to speak.
Post-session editing
Review and edit any slide after the session. The AI's first draft is close enough that most edits take under 5 minutes.
Every pause builds your deck. Start talking.

Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? We have answers.
Under normal network conditions, yes. Latency can increase with slow internet or high server load. The system degrades gracefully -- you'll see a brief loading indicator if generation takes longer.
The system uses pause detection tuned to natural speech breaks. Very short pauses (under half a second) don't trigger slide generation. If you do trigger a slide mid-sentence, continue speaking and edit or delete the partial slide in the review phase.
Yes. Slides stack on screen as they're generated. You can glance at previous slides while continuing to speak. The latest slide appears at the front.
No. Real-time generation requires live connections to Deepgram for speech recognition and the LLM for slide extraction. Both require internet connectivity.
Continue speaking without pausing. The system won't generate a slide until you pause. Longer, denser segments produce richer, more content-rich slides.
